Kusôzu is an album about death.
It has been made entirely from old vinyl records of Alban Berg.
It is a funeral landscape based on the Kusôzu paintings.
This paintings are an ancient Japanese art served to reflect on the provisionality of biological matter.
In traditional Buddhist teachings, contemplating death is an integral part of meditation. Nature shows us with the decomposition that we are made of eternity. That each of the materials that were Life remain and serve to build new lives.
The Buddha himself said that death is "the greatest of all teachers", as it teaches us to be humble, destroys vanity and pride, and breaks down all barriers of caste, creed and race that divide humans, since all living things are inevitably destined to die".
Some Buddhist traditions also practiced open-air burials, where human corpses were left out in the open.
